Pondering in Ponder

Our mom passed away, October 7, 2012.  We were all with her.  She slipped quietly into a painless sleep.  No more suffering.  I believe she gave up on life a long time ago from deep dark depression.  She did have some good times a long time ago.  I can remember her laugh, I hold onto that.  Our dad died April 5, 2013.  7 months after mom.  It's funny, some say when married couples are close, they just give up on life and die close to each other.  The strange thing is, they weren't married.  Haven't been for over 30 years.  Makes you wonder.  Dad was a proud man, retired police officer from Lenexa, KS and loved his family. My wish is that we were able to be more of his family then his second family.  Unfortunately you can't go back in time. He made the choice, something we will live with for forever.

The Lord is near to the broken hearted and saves the crushed in spirit.  Psalm 34:18

Long Time Since Posting

Since last posting, I have a new grand-baby girl, Lauren got married and I keep on crafting:)  I still make cards.  Have signed up for a few classes with Christy Tomlinson and Junelle Jacobsen.  Love their work and love their classes.  I started taking a watercolor class in Denton, hoping one day my art will improve.   I love watercolors but sometimes wonder if I have an artist's brain.  Will keep plugging away.  I am doing the Documented Life Project through Roben Marie Smith, Loraine Bell, Rae Missigman, Barbara Copeland Moore and Sandi Keene.  You keep a daily journal of your life with weekly prompts from the administrators.

A couple of pictures for Documented Life Project:  January

First pictures for February:  Choose an artist that inspires you.  Of course it is Junelle Jacobsen:)

Sister from Kansas city

I am the middle sister and twin to the Texas sister. I also love to scrapbook.
The third sister had me hooked when my grandson was born and helped me create pages for him through his first year. I am a knitter and when I Completed my first scrapbook page I was hooked and love every minute I spend creating pages. I scrap with my sister in town here and scrap via skype with my sister on Texas.

First Blog Ever

This is my first blog.  I have never done this before.  The title "We Three Sisters", I have two sisters in Kansas City, I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth Area.  Needless to say, I miss my sisters.  I went home for Christmas this past year and they got me hooked on Scrapbooking.  I'm a quilter, have quilted for over 20 years.  Now I'm throwing in a little bit of scrapbooking with my quilting.  Scrapbooking is just quilting with paper.  I'm hoping to add a little bit of this and that to this blog, and also encourage my two sisters to add their take on things and see what we get.

Have a great day!
